INTERIOR DESIGN

Interior Design is either shaped by a specific lifestyle, or forms a lifestyle by it’s own. It serves the need for quality of life, both in personal – professional and in social levels. The purpose of interior design is to create a space with an identity, where the architectural and decorative elements are complementary.

The personality, desires, favorite objects and colors of each client, give the general direction to select the style, which is the base upon which the entire project is designed. The renovation or simply decoration-renewal of a space is a creative process concerning all participants. Old items of furniture, favorite objects or relics can become with a little effort modern and extravagant, to adequately furnish or complete the furnishings giving the room a special design.

The complete design process and documentation needed for successful internal configuration and decoration of new or renovated spaces include:

1. Mapping of space, where the building and construction possibilities of future interventions, functional requirements, and financial budget are researched and estimated.

2. A Mood Board is an attempt to combine all requirements of the new proposal. It contains examples of the proposed materials and colors, such as decorative surfaces, curtains, artwork, wallpaper, etc. A Mood Board can be the final product of a study, in cases where only decorative elements are required.

3. Photorealistic 3d images are presented, showing the final proposal

4. Construction drawings define the exact dimensions and details of the new building elements (walls, ceilings, floors), and special constructions (fireplace, built-in furniture, kitchen, bathroom, etc.). They also define the proposed installations such as plumbing and electrical work (based on the layout and furniture).

5. The estimation of materials and labor costs refers to the construction drawings, and is a key element in shaping the budget of the project and the final choice of materials.

6. The financial offer for the work and the project schedule.

7. Advice on the selection of materials for construction is provided.

8. Supervision and coordination of workshops targeting the best result.

9. And finally, offering advice and selecting furniture and decorative elements that will be used.
